In my assembly I had a three components .
ex:
assembly used mmns template , material not assigned
first part used mmns template
second part inch ibm template
third part used mmks template
obviously all the baove three parts had different template.
After I assemble all the above components & check the mass properties it is showing in tonne and mm3 . How it is calculating ?Is main assembly calculating all the part template units ?

is it possible to control the layer status of individual family table instances? Lets say i have a layer named A. I want this layer visible on my generic model, but turned off, on some, but not all, of my instances. I have been trying this, but it appears that whatever layer status you have for the generic is passed to all instances, this is a shame. I am hoping that i am missing something, that perhaps there is a config option, a setting, something that could help me achieve my goal.

i am using Pro-E wildfire 4 and have created a number of annotations by insert>annotation feature>note.
This is fine they are showing in the part fine as they should.
However i need them to show in the assemblies that the part is in, but they are not showing.
any idea how to get them to show. i have gone through the config.pro and cannot find a command to make them show, or an option to get them to show.
any ideas???
I just recently downloaded the student version of Creo Parametric 2.0. But when I open a model the welcome tab stays active and I can't see my model. If I click the close button on the welcome tab the tab just freezes. What do I need to get the welcome tab to close?

I have a problem about override dimension in drawing eventhough I've use "@O" in dimesion properties in Pro-E WF 5.0 and the option OVERRIDE hidden state in dimension properties. I think the problem at Drawing Options, But I'm not getting.

I am trying to dimension a drawing.
I want to dimension the upper bend as I did on the lower bend (20,3), see picture.
I want the dimension to be from the end of the bend to the outer tangent of the bend radius (outer).
The dimension shall be slanted along the direction of the bend.
In SolidWorks you just selected the end line of the bend and the radius.
Right click-select max dimension.
I don´t know how to make this in creo.

I tried to do something similar in WF5, but couldn't make the wrap work.
In the attached version I've even brought the edges of the sketch in so that they're clearly within the surface.
I'm sure I'm missing something obvious - would someone please show me what?

I have used the "use edge" command in drawing to find an intesection between two model lines.
I just made a change in the part, and when opening the drawing I see the new geometry but the lines from use edge did not update!!
How come?

Hi All,
Any ideas how to get the number of Pattern Members when using a Point Pattern? I'm not looking to drive the number of Points in the Sketch with this, it's display only. Use case is an irregular pattern of holes, and everything works fine except I don't have a way to add the number of holes to the hole callout. On a Dimension (and Table Pattern I think) this shows up as a parameter that can be added.

One of my customer asked me to give all 3d files to DGN format. I have searched in creo file save as type, dgn format is not there. I found that trhough internet that *.dgn format is for pds(intergraph). I want to know how to convert creo files to dgn and which is the best way? I have several large assemblies to convert.

I need some help in creating a parametric model in Creo.
The Creo needs to run in batch mode to do the following:
Fetch the input parameters from text file > Modify the geometry using the parameters> Write geometry file to disk
I am successful at creating a pro/program that can take input file parameters ( regenerate> input file>specify text file). I can even run trail file to do the same. However all that only works in GUI.
I need a windows batch command to run creo that takes input geometry and parameter file as input and writes updated geometry back.
Is that too much to ask from a software?
Hi, I’m very new to PTC Creo, but I have used Autodesk Inventor before, so I have a good understanding of the process involved.
I have a question regarding reuse/modification of a fairly simple model. The model is a Gearwheel, boss with taper, 2 side plates connecting the boss and the gearwheel and 4+ holes, with a bushing.
So my question is, how can I automate this as much as possible, the gear do not need to be correct, it just have to look like tooth’s. So I’m looking for a way to make the model easy to reuse, change a few important dimensions, and patterns.
So I’m looking for help/guide/tutorial that covers this, or if someone could help a newbie onto the correct path. My company is using Skeleton-models, so I want to continue with that.
