not able to install creo 2.0 on network?
I have installed Creo 2.0 on the main computer, but when i try to install it on other computer connected to the network it says licence unavailable.
other then firewall or anti-virus, administrator ..what could be the other reasons ?
I have made a cut in the model, see image.
In the drawing I would like to use the construction circle diameter 70 to show where the 3 small holes are located.
I would also like to show the mid axis of the 29 dimension.
Can someone tell me how to do?
i had created a custom symbol and used in the current drawing sheet,but how should i open those symbols in the other drawing sheet?
Is there a more direct way of modeling standard threads in Creo other than the existing way which is fully manual? I wish there was a more automated way, for example some type of a wizard utility box allowing for filling-in the thread parameters. People might ask why bother and model standard threads, when the whole technical community is based on having them as given to any manufacturing cell, as long as they are specified and noted correctly on the drawings for the machinist to make? However, sometime we do care about 3-d printing and would like to make sure that the threaded mated parts are within allowance. What is the best practice to model the threads with the existing software? Again, I wish there are plans for any enhancements in the future versions in this respect. My initial suggestion would be the creation of a new feature, different than 'Helical Sweep' specialized just for Threads and/or Tapping.
We recently switched to Creo2 from WF and are experiencing the pain of customization in multiple interfaces.
There have been a lot of complaints written on this forum about the Ribbon interface, but I cannot see anyone who has shared their own .ui customization file(s) to improve the interface. Does anyone have Ribbon customization tab(s) that they like and are willing to share?
If so can you upload one of the.ui files:
creo_parametric_customization.ui
creo_parametric_admin_customization.ui
So far I have only done one for our mapkeys, but would like to create a tab for common commands (dwg, asm, prt, etc). If I come up with one I will post, but perhaps people can post their own for people try try and hopefully ease the pain of transition to Creo2 (and from these files perhaps give PTC some more constructive ideas).
Is it possible to create round snap lines?
It would be nice to have piece marks and balloons in a circle around an object.

We currently use the export to PDF to 'lock in' our released parts & assembly drawings. But, we seem to have an issue with the page size. We do all our drawings on a B sized sheet (11"x17"), but would like our PDFs to contain the same format, but be exported to an A sized sheet (8.5"x11"). (Some users can't seem to figure out the 'fit to page' button in acrobat!)
Yes, we can 'print to' a PDF, and select the sheet size. It seems to retain certain colours & other features. And we can also export as PDF, then open the PDF in Acrobat & re-print from there to resize it.
Curious to know if there is a Creo 2 command, short cut, config parameter, etc.. that we don't know about.. Does the 'export' command have any advantages over just the 'print to' option. Do we loose anything? Do we gain anything? thoughts?

What exactly are the implications of using the “set independent” option for external references? Does is mean that once the links are set to dependent that everything updates and you might not know what all is changed?

I just migrated to a new Mac Pro (details can be provided if necessary). I'm running Windows 8 via vmware fusion. I'm seeing some odd graphics behavior and before I spend days messing around with various graphics setting in Creo/Windows/vmware I thought I'd ask to see if anyone has seen this before and if there is a known solution.
Hello everyone, newbie here:
I am trying to create a 3-dimensional QR code model and print it out on a 3D printer/makerbot. I have created a model on creo parametric but when generating the .stl file, all the extrusions and features are lost. It just becomes a flat rectangular prism. Can anyone give me advice here?
Also when I create extrusions, they are hollow and not filled. I would like the QR extrusions to be solid filled but I can't do this. Have attached my model.

I am trying to select the axis of parts in an exploded assembly. They are visible, but I can not select them to use as references. It only lets me select the outer faces of objects. I am using Crea Elements/Pro Schools Edition which was given by my university. The project is the Pulley Support Assembly.

I am creating a strip layout in PDX, and want to see the cutting effort, but the value i get is 0.00ton(s)/N.
I have checked & assigned all the material properties, but still no cutting efforts is available to me.
Do anyone know how to get this value. Am I missing something?
