Hi everyone,
I have a question related to appearances. I know that appearaces assigned at the .prt level carry up to the .asm level. And at the .asm level you can change the appearance of the part while it is in the .asm but you will not change the .prt level appearances. I know you can also clear all appearaces. Here is the question:
Is there a way that I can assign appearances at the .asm level to .prt's?
How can I set the line colour to black in wireframe view.
The lines are really hard to see with current colours.
Can the default folder for tools be set seperately.

I have read MANY articles/posts and watched many video's on this topic and I am still not able to figure it out (which is sad).
I have some text which is wrapped around a cylinder more than 180 degree's (see image below).
I have read that I need to create an offset surface and project my text onto this offset surface...the problem is that the text wraps around the entire cylinder. I can NOT project all the wrapped text on an offset sketch plane (does this make sense?).
Here is a very boiled down image of what I would like to wrap/extrude:
When Assembling a Component, it can be shown in the assembly context, in a separate window or both. Is there a config option to control this?
I saw a video recently where a shell of a car was created in Creo parametric by pulling out shapes from pictures imbedded in the planes. The setup was started with the front, back, top and side planes containing the appropreate pictures. I would also like to do this, but i have no idea how to insert a .jpg image into the respective plane. Can anyone help?
If I go to open and type in "\\server\jobs\" and then right click on a folder the set working directory is greyed out.
If I go to open and type in "z:\" and then right click on a folder I am able to set the working directory. Z:\ is a mapped network drive pointing to "\\server\jobs\".
I just find this frustrating and was wondering why.
In assembly I have four representation including master rep like
a , b, c & D
a= master rep
The rep "A" has set of components including parts & sub asm like
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
The rep "B" has components like
1
2
3
8
9
10
11
12
And the rep "c" has
1
2
3
11
12
25
27
In "D" has the same componts like what "C" holds
1
2
3
11
12
25
27
My question is that when I am creating a D rep , all the components are adding from A,B, C & D.And once again I am excluding component which I dont want to show in D after created rep
so,Is there any option is available to maintain the same components which C rep has into D rep ?
I got a part from scanner (FARRO Arm) with .stl format. I want to assemble this in my assembly. But I am unable to do so. I tried to convert it to .prt, .iges but nothing works. I can't select face, I can't make axis etc.
File is attached. Please help.
So I have a plastic (inj molded) where I have 8 different option for connector options exiting one wall of this part. Rather than create 8 parts with 8 drawings, whats the best way to handle this? Family tables using merged parts?
I have created an elbow as a swept blend. It starts out as a circle and ends up as a circle.
I'm apparently doing something wrong.
Again.
Please see the attached file.
The issue is that after the circles are blended, they are no longer circles but splines. I can't measure it in model space and can't dimension it in drawing space.
What am I doing wrong here?
Thanks.
... is it possible?

Hello all!
I have a question about the trailing zeros in the drawings in Creo 2.0. Is it possible to show the trailing zeros on an individual dimension only? Some of my customers use the trailing zeros to signify a given tolerance range (for exmaple .00 means +/- 0.02, .0 means +/- 0.1 etc). I don't want to change the global settings of the drawings however, because only a handful of the dimensions require them and if I do I'll have to change the decimal places value of all the other dimensions. But I don't to do this because if later the associated model is modified, the drawing will not show the correct dimension (example: if I change the decimal places value of a dimension 31.00 to 0, in order to show 31, then if I or anybody else modify the model so that the value is 31.2 it will still show 31 on the drawing).
Hello,
I have one question, It is possible customize hole axis "circle axis" by hole size? or can I change only "circle_axis_offset" in detail options in drawing? I need something like on the second attachment.
Thanks
