I was wondering if there was an easy way to export the model tree from Creo Parametric 2.0 to MS Excel? I can get it to Save as a .txt file then open that in MS Excel, but unless all the levels are expanded it will not dispaly children of assemblies/weldments. I was wondering if someone has a mapkey or suggestion they could share.

I am having difficulty with having Creo Elements Direct 18.1 reading my AM_CUSTOMIZE file. I am getting the same response no matter what I try.
LISP error: The function AM..... (no matter what function I am trying to load) is undefined.
What am I missing? Is it syntax in the file? Do I need to define something ahead of time?
I am new to Creo and this file is a copy of the one that has been used for years. It works in 15.50 but we are upgrading to 18.1 so I am guessing there has been changes, but I need help "upgrading" this file.

Is there a config.pro option or another setting to get rid of this info from the model window.
It is present in mechanism design, so when I run and capture an analysis, it is present in the mpg file. I dont need this information displayed in the recorded analysis.

I'm trying to model the Philips screw recess, which is defined ISO 4757 as type H. The relevant part of the standard can be seen on Google Image Search.
An early model is attached. While the model isn't yet robust, I think I followed the drawing in the standard for size #1 so I'm not sure why some of the numbers are outside of tolerance. Something must be wrong.
Looking at the model and at the standard, can anyone see why dimension "f" and the fixed (but derived) angle "28°" aren't right?
So I have a plastic (inj molded) where I have 8 different option for connector options exiting one wall of this part. Rather than create 8 parts with 8 drawings, whats the best way to handle this? Family tables using merged parts?

I am trying to create a JLink program that reads the components of one asssembly and adds them to another.
The program reads the constraints of each component with function pfcComponentFeat.ComponentFeat.GetConstraints and then it uses them to assemble the component in the other assembly.
I find this function fails when the component has more than one constraint set.

From what I can tell, if I want to change the model representation (using a simplified rep) that is used in a view and a repeat region BOM, one must change them both separately. Either one is changed/switched, the dwg deletes all the attachments and balloons that have been organized to each component, and this is regardless of which one is done first.
Does anyone know how to swap both the view and the Repeat Region Representations so that the balloons and attachments for the remaining components (the ones not excluded by the simp. rep.) are not lost?
I'm using a part from a library that uses family tables. I assembled the part and now I want to modify it. How do I modify the part without it affecting the original Library file?
First time posting...I have turned on the dual dimensions, inch as primary and metric as secondary...when set as ISO tol display and secondary units below, I am getting an overlap when dims aren't nominal. Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

I am on Creo 2 and I am running into a problem where I am recreating a drawing and I can't seem to get the leader line to stick with the dimension, it always wants to go to the GTOL as soon as it is created. I beleive this is also the root cause to why I can't get my B datum in the right location.
I created the GTOL is a small assembly (2 pieces a base and weld nuts) then brought it into my drawing and regardless how many different ways I do it I still have the same result.
Any help would be appreciated!

I have a model that is controlled by 45 parameters. I want to be able to control the parameters from an excel spreadsheet. The reason for doing this because the parameters sheet is tedious to change values and make updates. It will also be easier for individuals without a lot of Creo experience to use the program.
Please let me know if there is a way to do this.

I want to create a groove on a cylinder as shown in the image. I create the groove path and wrapped on the cylinder
I am using sweep to create the groove, if i select normal to trajectory the sweep cut is created on cylinder. but for manufacturing i want to create the cut normal to center axis.
if i choose normal to projection and select ctr axis sweep feature failing. It will be helpful if anybody can suggest a solution.
A co-worker and a share a creo parametric tool design licence that is server based. The issue seems to be that if I am using the tool design license and I want to drop the license so he can use it I have to shut creo down to accomplish this. I did try going "file"-"options"-"licensing" and uncheck the tool design license but this doesn't seem to work. It seems like there should be an easy way to drop this license. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you.

I have created two surfaces, mirrored them, merged them all and solidified to create a solid, symetrical around the X Plane.
The solidify completes and the part is a solid with a volume.
When sectioning, i have created AA along the Y axis which is fine,
However, when sectioning BB along the X Axis, the section fails.
Could this be cause i am trying to section along the mirror axis? would there be any other reasons for failure?
I have tryed offsetting from the X axis, but it still fails when sectioning in that particular orient but works at 90`??

i have tried to unfold the pipe using rip with sketch but its not working it always shows a failure msg. can anyone suggest a way
I am using an excel analysis to update parameters in CREO. I use a relation to set the model parameters equal to the parameters that are created from the excel analysis. The issue that I am having is that I cannot get the analysis parameters to update when I modify the parameters in the excel spreadsheet. I was able to get it to work for a while but once I closed out of the spreadsheet and CREO and tried to reopen it to use it again the link seemed to be broken. Is there a way to setup this link so that it doesn't get broken when the program is closed.

I have created a new named view. When I switch from the standard view to my named view, it will explode the assembly. How can I turn this off and why is this happening?
I also have problems whit showing a combined view in my drawings. The combined view will also being showed in explode. Is this the same problem?
